Hillside Children At Woodland Hills Church
At Woodland Hills Church our kids (4 through 12) experience safe, age-appropriate environments where they learn about Jesus in a creative and relevant way.
We would love to see you and your family visit Hillside Children.
Your First Visit
Here’s what to expect when visiting WHC for the first time:
First, locate our area for first-time families, our Hills Hub. There we will meet your family, check your child into our system, and then one of our volunteers will lead you through how our children’s service progresses.
Upon checking in for the first time, we will ask for the following personal information (NOTE: We value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone):
  • parent/guardian name(s)
  • child’s name
  • child’s birth date
  • home address
  • phone number
  • any special instructions (allergies, special needs for your children).
How Check-In Works
Before Service: You can locate the Children’s Check-In volunteer in the front lobby. The volunteer will locate your child’s name and have you sign them in. At this time, the volunteer will also inform you of any special activities (outside play, water sports, etc.) the children will be engaging in that you may need to be aware of.
During Service: You and your child will be able to sit together through the beginning of service. After worship, all children who wish to participate in our children’s ministry will be dismissed and escorted by volunteers to their classrooms.
After Service: Your child will be led by a volunteer back into the main sanctuary after children’s church has concluded. (please be aware that there are days when Children activities may run longer than the adult service. Please be respectful and wait for your child to be escorted back into the sanctuary before picking up your child.
Family Covenant Sunday
On the first Sunday of every month our children will remain in the service to engage with the rest of our church family. These Sundays are meant to further strengthen our family, as well as give families a chance to here the same message and enter into baptism / communion together.
What If I Cannot Stay For Service or am Volunteering?
We understand that their will be days where you will be unable to remain with your child until they are dismissed in the service. If this is the case, let the check-In volunteer know about your situation and we will make plans to watch over your child while you are away.
At Hillside Children’s we want your kids
to have a blast learning
about Jesus in a safe atmosphere.”
– Trenton Kuntz, Director of Children’s Ministry
